Our Vision

Reaching, Restoring and Redirecting the inner-city people of the world describes the vision of

our church. But our actions best define us. We are strong evangelistically, we love assisting the

poor, feeding the homeless, and rehabilitating the addicted, all of which is specific to our

immediate community. We also worship enthusiastically, pray continuously, fellowship eagerly,

and teach God’s word with awe and conviction. We exist to create change, the kind of change

that unites people with God and helps them discover the purpose God has for their lives. So,

disciple making is our goal, just as it is the imperative of the Great Commission.

Reaching

Reaching people for Jesus by proclaiming the good news to every community

“…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

Restoring

Restoring people to Jesus by encouraging them to reach their God-given potential

“…to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…” <br>

Redirecting

Redirecting people in Jesus by launching them into their calling

“…I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” <br>

In the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God

15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, –

In one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

In the virgin birth of Christ, His vicarious atoning death, bodily resurrection,ascension, and second coming

“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.“ – Isaiah 7:14

“Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.” – Romans 8:34

In salvation through the atoning work of Jesus Christ

“21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in[a] Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement,[b] through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins shed— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.” –Romans 3:21-26

In baptism by immersion for repentant believers

In the baptism of the Holy Spirit subsequent to the new birth

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues[a] as the Spirit enabled them” – Acts 2:4

“While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples 2 and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when[a] you believed?”

They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

3 So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”

“John’s baptism,” they replied.

4 Paul said, “John’s baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.” 5 On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues[b] and prophesied. “ – Acts 19:1-6

In divine healing through the atoning work of Christ on the cross

“Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.” Isaiah 53:4

” When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:

“He took up our infirmities
and bore our diseases.” – Matthew 8:16-17

In the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit which enables a believer to live a holy life

In the Great Commission to preach the Gospel to every creature
